    References

  • Pascal and I worked very closely on getting the GetToKnow project off the ground. Pascal worked tirelessly on helping to develop the business model and was instrumental in keeping the passion and energy alive whilst we worked through the process. He created and wrote a lot of the content on the principles around personal growth and branding and shares this wisdom with anyone who will listen.

Pascal is an asset to any Team or organization looking to build value and gain from his unique perspectives. He is highly principled in his beliefs and values and does not stray from that.

  • I worked with Pascal Cushing on the Everett Power Plant. Pascal was a survey chief working for me. He helped me in coordinating the survey crews and interacting with the carpenters & laborers. His ability to understand and communicate the needs of the carpenter foreman and laborer foreman to the crews was most beneficial to me. Also, his understanding of the job and what needed to be prioritized kept the job flowing smoothly. I would not hesitate to hire Pascal to work for me again.

  • Public Speaking

  • Pascal has found within him passion and an entrepreneurial spirit which drives his enthusiasm for opportunity. Over the years, Pascal and good friend Doug have shared concepts, business ideas and principles over many conversations. It was over one of those conversations that Doug shared a vision of what has now become GetToKnow.net. Pascal immediately knew that this project would bring value by introducing the concept of personal branding to the individual. Other business projects, coaching and teaching opportunities along with traditional jobs have made great impacts on molding who he has become and how he thinks

    Hobbies

Pascal has many interests some of which include business, personal growth, relationships and sports. In the 1980's, he was the captain of the Greater Boston hockey team of the AAHA, and has been an instructor in an adult hockey for beginners program. On a personal growth level, Pascal is enthusiastic about such things as Bible study, entrepreneurial ventures and gaining insight on success principles. In general, he enjoys the process of building people and teams, realizing that higher levels can be reached as we complement one's weakness with another's strength. Because his Christian faith is integral to whom he is, he understands that everyone was created for a purpose. Edifying and encouraging people gives them room to believe in themselves, grow beyond who they are today and begin to see themselves as who they can become as they strive to fulfill that purpose. He likes to think big and sees the potential in people even before they themselves do.

    News & Events

Recently, Pascal was asked to speak before a group of men from Trinity church at a monthly dinner and gathering. The title of his talk was We Were Created in God's Image. The following is an excerpt from this talk:

Genesis 1:26,27 "Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Over the years of teaching PE and coaching sports, I've had some kids that weren't very athletic, and they knew that they weren't. But again, the principle is that we were all created in God's image, so that means everyone has value and is precious in His eyes, and so they should be in mine as well. My philosophy is to build them up as a member of the team and believe in them. Eventually, they begin to believe in themselves and when that happens, the results are amazing".

Last year at another speaking engagement, Pascal addressed a group of parents, alumni, faculty and friends at the 25 year silver jubilee of the Imago school. The topic was entitled: How to give your kids the right start by stacking the deck in their favor.
